About:
The purpose of the Professional Psychologists Act is to insure that the public is adequately protected from the practice of psychology by unqualified persons and from unprofessional conduct by persons licensed to practice psychology. The Board regulates the requirements for licensure, examination and continuing education. The Board disciplines individuals who have violated the Professional Psychologists Act or the Board’s rules and regulations. The law requires that anyone engaged in the practice of psychology or using the title “psychologist” or “psychologist associate” must be licensed.
