EPA Awards New Mexico $156 million for Solar for All program – Funds will make solar power available to 21,000 low-income households  

SANTA FE – Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that New Mexico has been awarded $156 million from the federal agency’s $7 billion Solar for All competition. The Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) will administer New Mexico’s Solar for All Program, designed to make solar power available to an estimated 20,910 New Mexico households that otherwise might not be able to access this clean, renewable form of energy. “The EPA’s Solar for All program is an unprecedented investment in clean, affordable renewable energy for low-income communities across the country,” said Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced she will call the New Mexico Legislature into a special session on Thursday, July 18 to take up additional public safety protections that New Mexicans demand. Gov. Governor announces judicial appointment of Heidi Adams

SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced on Tuesday the appointment of Heidi Adams as the Tenth Judicial District Attorney. Since 2015, Adams has served as the Chief Deputy District Attorney in the Tenth Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Tucumcari prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases. Previously, she spent four years as an assistant district attorney at Potter County Attorney’s Office in Amarillo, Texas. Adams is a graduate of Texas Tech University and the Texas Tech School of Law. She was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 2014. Adams’ appointment began April 15, 2024. Governors of New Mexico and Arizona seek federal support to transform uranium mining cleanup
