Daniel Werwath joins governor’s office as Housing Policy Advisor
SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced= that Daniel Werwath has joined her office as Housing Policy Advisor.
A longtime New Mexico housing advocate, Werwath brings two decades of affordable housing development experience to Lujan Grisham’s senior team. =
“Access to affordable housing is a priority for = my administration and is top-of-mind for many New Mexicans,” said Gov. Lujan Grisham. “I am excited to bring Daniel and his expe= rtise to our housing team to advance priorities that build a more stable ho= using environment in our state.”
Werwath will work c= losely with Advisor Amy Whitfield, who continues to focus on issues related to homelessness and housing insecurity.
Most recently, Werwath held the title of Executive Director of New Mexico Inter-Faith Housing. Previously, he was the Acting Executive Director of The Housing T= rust and Tierra Contenta Corporation.
“There are so many untapped opportunities for ad= dressing housing issues at the state level, I'm truly excited to bring forw= ard innovative ideas to improve access and affordability of housing for all New Mexican families,” Werwath said.
