New Mexico COVID-19 update: 92 new cases, totaling 26,268 – six additional deaths

Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are: 6 new cases in Bernalillo County 16 new cases in Chaves County 7 new cases in Curry County 17 new cases in Doña Ana County 4 new cases in Eddy County 9 new cases in Lea County 1 new case in Los Alamos County 3 new cases in Luna County 6 new cases in McKinley County 1 new case in Otero County 1 new case in Quay County 1 new case in Rio Arriba County 4 new cases in Roosevelt County 4 new cases in Sandoval County 4 new cases in San Juan County 4 new cases in Santa Fe County 1 new case in Taos County 1 new case in Valencia County 2 new cases among New Mexico Corrections Department inmates at the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Valencia County The Department of Health on Wednesday reported six additional deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19: A female in her 80s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions. The individual was a resident of The Rio at Las Estancias in Albuquerque. A male in his 70s from Doña Ana County. The individual had underlying conditions. A female in her 80s from Doña Ana County. The individual was hospitalized. A male in his 90s from Doña Ana County. The individual was hospitalized and was a resident of Welbrook Senior Living in Las Cruces. A male in his 80s from Lea County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions. A female in her 80s from Sandoval County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions. The number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now at 813. Previously reported numbers included three cases that have been identified as duplicates (two in Lea County, one in San Juan County); one case in Curry County that was not lab confirmed; and one case in Rio Arriba County that has been identified as an out-of-state resident – these have now been corrected. The Department of Health currently reports the following numbers of COVID-19 cases among individuals held by federal agencies at the following facilities: Cibola County Correctional Center: 324 Otero County Prison Facility: 281 Otero County Processing Center: 159 Torrance County Detention Facility: 44 The Department of Health currently reports the following numbers of COVID-19 cases among individuals held by the New Mexico Corrections Department at the following facilities: Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Valencia County: 31 Lea County Correctional Facility: 4 Northeast New Mexico Correctional Facility in Union County: 1 Northwest New Mexico Correctional Center in Cibola County: 1 Otero County Prison Facility: 473 Penitentiary of New Mexico in Santa Fe County: 1 Western New Mexico Correctional Facility in Cibola County: 4 As of today, there are 77 individuals hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19. This number may include individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 out of state but are currently hospitalized in New Mexico. This number does not include New Mexicans who tested positive for COVID-19 and may have been transferred to a hospital out of state. As of today, there are 13,928 COVID-19 cases designated as having recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.
